It’s been five years since Livy and her family have visited Livy’s grandmother in Australia. Now that she’s back, Livy has the feeling she’s forgotten something really, really important about Gran’s house.

It turns out she’s right.

Bob, a short, greenish creature dressed in a chicken suit, didn’t forget Livy, or her promise. He’s been waiting five years for her to come back, hiding in a closet like she told him to. He can’t remember who—or what—he is, where he came from, or if he even has a family. But five years ago, Livy promised she would help him find his way back home. Now it’s time to keep that promise.

Clue by clue, Livy and Bob will unravel the mystery of where Bob comes from and discover the kind of magic that lasts forever.

Throughout the entire story the two biggest questions are who and what is Bob. Trust me, no one reading this book for the first time is going to get the right answer until the big reveal at the end of the book. Not my favorite story ever but the mystery of Bob kept you interested.

Does anyone else think Bob is a strange name? Not just for an unknown creature, I mean anyone. It’s just such a simple name and it’s so much fun to say. Try it right now. But don’t say it too many times or it’ll stop sounding like a word.

The lesson to take from this story is to remember what it was like to be young. When I think back to what I was like as a kid, I realized that I really wasn’t as smart as I thought I was. Throughout most of the story, Livy questions most of the things she did with Bob as a child, like making him the chicken suit. But 10-year-old Livy soon realizes that 5-year-old Livy was a lot smarter than she originally thought.
