Book Title & Alexandra's Review

Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar

4th Grade and Up

Fifth-grader Tamaya and seventh-grader Marshall have walked to and from Woodbridge Academy together since elementary school. But when bully Chad Wilson challenges Marshall to a fight, Marshall decides to take a shortcut home through the off-limits woods. Tamaya is following right behind. They eventually get lost, and they find more trouble than anyone could have imagined.

In the days and weeks that follow, the authorities and the U.S. Senate get involved, and what they discover might affect the future of the world.

When I began reading this book, I had no idea what to expect. The title didn’t register in my mind until the term ‘fuzzy mud’ was used for the first time. I can’t say anything more about this book without spoiling the whole story. It’s a quick read and has a hidden meaning that you don’t find out until the end. This book is definitely worth reading.
