Book Title & Alexandra's Review

Sincerely, Emerson: A Girl, Her Letter, and the Helpers All Around Us by Emerson Weber

Rated E for Everyone

A true story that quickly went viral, this is now a timely, extraordinary picture book.

Sincerely, Emerson follows eleven-year-old Emerson Weber as she writes a letter of thanks to her postal carrier, Doug, and creates a nationwide outpouring of love.

This is a story of gratitude, hope, and recognition: for all the essential helpers we see every day and all those who go unseen.

I love a good true story picture book. It’s remarkable how a simple act of kindness can make a big impact.

Letter writing is a dying art. But thanks to the coronavirus pandemic of 2020, it has made a comeback. My mom’s sister in Ohio has been sending her letters to California during the pandemic, and it’s like getting a visitor, which makes both of them happy.

While searching the Internet to learn more about Emerson, I found a YouTube video of Emerson herself doing a book reading of her book. If you want to watch the video, click on the link below:
