Book Title & Alexandra's Review

Something’s Wrong! by Jory John

Young Children

Jeff the bear has definitely forgotten something.

So he seeks out a trusted friend, to be honest with him and tell him if something is really wrong. What could it be? How can he shake this feeling? I couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that he’s wearing underwear . . . over his fur . . . could it?

My mom and I laughed through the entire book. It doesn’t matter if you’re a kid or a ‘mature’ adult. Underwear is always funny. But being caught wearing nothing but your underwear is always embarrassing. That’s why people have so many nightmares about it.

This story is a lot wordier than most picture books. Jeff the bear kept going on long monologues that stretched out the awkwardness of the situation.

The animals are hilarious. I loved all their weirded-out expressions.
