Each ring of the doorbell brings more friends to share the delicious cookies Ma has made in this beloved classic.
This enjoyable read-aloud picture book about friendship, sharing, and cookies can also be used to introduce basic math concepts to young children.

 

Written back in 1986, this was one of my favorite stories growing up. I love picture books that incorporated math at an early age, which is why my favorite TV show as a kid was Cyberchase, a PBSKids show that taught basic math. I highly recommend checking the show out.

 

This is a cute story about sharing cookies, with simple and repetitive dialogue that every kid should read.
