Book Title & Alexandra's Review

Cyril and Pat by Emily Gravett

Rated E for Everyone

 width=

Cyril is the only squirrel in Lake Park, and he’s very lonely. Until one day he meets Pat – Pat the big, grey . . . other squirrel. Cyril and Pat have lots of adventures and fun together. But no one else thinks they should be friends.

These two friends soon learn that some things are more important than being the same or following others.

This is such a sweet story that shows that it doesn’t matter if your friend isn’t the same race, nationality, color or even the same species as you. As long as you have fun together it shouldn’t matter.

I can understand why Cyril would mistake Pat for a squirrel. Squirrels are basically rats with fluffy tails.

This weeks’ Weird but True Facts about Squirrels and Rats

Squirrels sweat through their feet.

Rats are ticklish.
