Gorilla Loves Vanilla by Chae Strathie

Young Children with a Sweet Tooth

Sam’s Sundaes is far and away the best place on Jelly Bean Street to get your favorite ice cream flavor! One day, five animals dash through the door, hoping little Sam Sundae will whip up the ice cream treat of their dreams.

Each animal receives their favorite ice cream, each flavor wackier than the last, but Gorilla asks for the most surprising flavor of all!

This is a cute rhyming story with colorful illustrations that will have you craving ice cream. Ahhh ice cream…pretty much the best dessert of all time…not including cake, of course.

It’s true that one person’s favorite ice cream flavor might be gross to another person. Like how I think coffee ice cream is weird while my dad loves it.

My favorite ice cream flavor is a tie between chocolate and Oreo. I like Oreo ice cream because it has chunks of Oreo in it. I love chocolate ice cream because chocolate is my favorite sweet. I’m all about the chocolate.

I love getting ice cream by the carton at the grocery store, but the absolute best place to get ice cream is an ice cream store called Paradis. It’s appropriately named because their chocolate ice cream is the best I’ve ever tasted. Once you eat here all other ice cream seems obsolete. If you live in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend checking it out. Here’s a link to their website if you want to learn more.

On an ending note, here’s a Foxtrotcomic featuring a sundae that every kid wishes they could eat.
