Book Title & Alexandra's Review

I Need a New Butt! by Dawn McMillan

Young Children

 width=

A young boy suddenly notices a big problem — his butt has a huge crack! So, he sets off to find a new one. Will he choose an armor-plated butt? A rocket butt? A robot butt? Find out in this quirky tale of a tail, which features hilarious rhymes and delightful illustrations.

If you’re a fan of Walter the Farting Dog, you’ll love this book. This is a simple nonsense book that proves that just like fart jokes, butt jokes never get old.

I first learned about this book from a video I found on YouTube of a Scottish granny reading the book to her grandson. Her laughter is contagious, and her accent makes it all the better. The only problem is that you can’t see the illustrations, so you can’t tell if she’s laughing at the pictures or just the words. That’s why I wanted to find the physical book, so I can see the pictures for myself.

If you’re ever having a bad day, just watch this video and you’ll cheer right up.

As a bonus, here’s a Baby Blues comic featuring a butt problem:
