Book Title & Alexandra's Review

Beyond: A Ghost Story by Graham McNamee

Middle School & High School

Jane is not what you would call a typical teen: Her own shadow seems to pull her into near-fatal accidents. She is determined to discover why these terrifying things happen and overcome her shadow enemy.

Apparently, Graham McNamee liked writing about serial killers (Acceleration) and supernatural creatures (Bonechiller). So what did he do? He combined the two to make this story.

This story is so mysterious. It’ll have you baffled through it all. This girl survives five different near-death experiences caused by her own shadow. How scary is that!? And you’ll never guess who or what or why this creature wants her so bad. You’ll just have to read it and find out.
